Hi there, on the Alessi Bros website there's a version of Savin' the Day which has a more movie accurate opening, with some editing, also there's an extended version of The Busboys Cleanin' up the town which can be used to make the part used in Get Her!, again with some editing.

Thank you, I'll look in to both of those.

Hey, there’s going to be a new album release of the Ghostbusters original score on June 7th in iTunes/Apple Music and possibly elsewhere. Is it possible to get a list for these tracks when the album launches?

Chrono Score Guy said...

Yes, that is the plan.

Hi there again, the multi track stems from Ray Parker Jr's Ghostbusters theme have made their way online, I'm sure it's a long shot but would it be possible to recreate the film versions with them?

Chrono Score Guy said...

Yes, I have used them to make my own film version which is as accurate as it can be. The challenge is, showing which stems are used at what time as sometimes a vocal is removed, other times the guitar. I have no idea how to go about posting the information as there is no simple way to do it. If you have any ideas, I'm very willing to hear them.

I did think it would be tough to explain. Off the top of my head, one way could be list the total timestamp of each layer used, then if any layers need playing at different times note that next to it. For example

Opening Theme

1. bass_synth_layer (:27.5-.58)
2. drum1_layer (:27.5-.58)
3. drum2_layer (:27.5-.58)
4. drums3_layer (:27.5-.58)
5. guitars_layer (:27.5-.58)
6. synths + fx_layer (:27.5-.58)
7. vox + choir_layer (:29-:45.7)
[Fade Out]

Not sure how accurate the times are there or if every layer is used, but it's more for showing what I mean.

I've looked at my edit multiple times, there is no way I can post it. Some of the stems need to be moved a microsecond while others stay in place, some faded out quickly among other edits. Sorry I cannot be of more help. It took me a good amount of time to make an edit I'm satisfied with and there is no easy way to share how to replicate it.
